The last day of the Sturgis Rally is usually a good time to stock up on souvenirs. That’s because vendors are looking to get rid of their merchandise and cash-in.
While just about everyone was walking down Main Street Sunday with shopping bags in hand, some shoppers say they didn’t notice much of a sale.
As for vendors, many of them are reporting a 30% increase in sales compared to last year.
“This year is actually way busier than last year,” said clothing vendor Inanc Sener. “There’s more people, more merchandise, everybody bought many merchandise so it’s been a busy year actually.”
Some vendors are even saying this year is the busiest year in sales since 2000. And while T-shirts are popular items to take home as souvenir, vendors say this year’s best seller has been the ” I rode my” patches.
